Barack Obama to visit Canada after inauguration




"(Obama) has accepted an invitation from Prime Minister Stephen Harper to visit Canada once he is sworn in as president on January 20th," CTV's Robert Fife said Saturday.
The planned trip will continue a longstanding tradition of new American presidents choosing Canada for their first official state visit. Fife said the tradition was broken by President George Bush after his election when he visited Mexico instead." Continue reading here

That's cool he's visiting you guys.I would love to go to DC during the inuaguration but, I think I'll end up feeling really clostraphobic with all the people.

He'll being making his visit in Ottawa. I've never been to Ottawa even though it's only 3 hour drive away.

shoot. i wish he was coming to toronto - i'd be where ever he was to get a glimpse...lol.

sadly i won't drive to ottawa though...
