Talk show host Oprah Winfrey and First Lady Michelle Obama attended a dinner Wednesday evening with about 300 Chicago 2016 supporters at The Admiral Hotel in Copenhagen.

Chicago 2016 chairman and CEO Pat Ryan was reportedly greeted with a standing ovation when he entered the room. He said, "you can feel the electricity in the air, you can feel the competition in the air. It's just a great feeling.

"But the most rewarding experience of all (in this process) is when we are with our fellow Chicagoans and they are so committed to hosting the world and welcoming the world and showing off their city to the world...All of you have been so helpful to us because this is a team effort, but our team is the kind of team that has to keep growing and growing and growing, and that's what's happened". source

Mexican, Mexico

African Mexicans, now largely assimilated in the general population, have historically been located in certain communities in Mexico. They are currently found in the coastal areas of Guerrero, Oaxaca, Michoacán, Veracruz, Campeche, Quintana Roo, and Yucatán.

When the Spanish first arrived in Mesoamerica, they brought free Africans with them. Among them was Juan Garrido, a conquistador who belonged to Juan Ponce de León's entourage. Garrido was born on the West African coast, the son of an African King. Garrido went on to join Hernando Cortés in the Spanish conquest of Mexico. These African contributed to the conquistadors success in New Spain, but they did not share in the victory because of their status. Read more info here

Blacks in Mexico Seek Government Recognition

The first town of freed African slaves in the Americas is not exactly where you would expect to find it - and it isn't exactly what you'd expect to find either. First, it's not in the United States. Yanga, on Mexico's Gulf Coast, is a sleepy pueblito founded by its namesake, Gaspar Yanga, an African slave who led a rebellion against his Spanish colonial masters in the late 16th century and fought off attempts to retake the settlement. The second thing that is immediately evident to vistors who reach the town's rustic central plaza: there are virtually no blacks among the few hundred residents milling around the center of town. Health: What is Pancreatic Cancer?

Pancreas cancer, or pancreatic Aden carcinoma, occurs when there is an uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells in the pancreas that forms a mass or a tumour. It is the deadliest solid organ tumour with fatality rates approaching 100%. Because the pancreas lies deep within the abdomen it is difficult for a doctor to feel a pancreatic tumour during an examination. Pancreatic cancer has no early warning signs and no effective screening or early detection tests. As a result, cancer is rarely discovered until it has metastasized and spread to other organs. The majority of patients diagnosed with this disease are older than 60 years of age (80%). Unfortunately pancreatic cancer can occur in younger people, especially those who have a family history.
