Big Up Jamaica !!
JAMAICA'S domination of sprinting at the Olympic Games continued last night with a clean sweep of the medals in the women's 100m final. Shelly-Ann Fraser produced the second-fastest time in Olympic history to take the gold medal in 10.78sec with her teammates Sherone Simpson and Kerron Stewart both being award silver medals after being locked together on the line (10.98sec).
Fraser, 21, making her Olympic debut, won with similiar ease to her compatriot Usain Bolt and was pumping her fist to the heavens as she crossed the line.
Her previous best time was 10.95sec at last month's London Grand Prix.
Fraser, who finished second in the Jamaican Olympic trials, was a member of the 4x100m relay team which won the silver medal at last year's world championships. source
