Versailles (French pronunciation: [vɛʁsaj]), a city renowned for its château, the Palace of Versailles, was the de facto capital of the kingdom of France for over a century, from 1682 to 1789. It is now a wealthy suburb of Paris and remains an important administrative and judicial center. Hey there, Jet-setter! Europe is known for the preservation of their older architecture. On your next trip visit the Palaces that dot Sweden, Switzerland and Germany, because they are also just as beautiful.
Yes I will be making trips to those places in the near future, to see the rest of the amazing architecture.
