Could You be The World’s First Reality Hair Star?!

Starting April 2nd, through April 18th, consumers will have the opportunity to tell Pantene why they should be the first reality hair star by uploading a video to www.pantene.com/realitystar. America will have the chance to vote on their favorite videos to help choose the winner and fan favorite videos will be chosen daily. All video submissions will be evaluated and 12 semi finalists will be flown to NYC for an in-person test shoot in May. Don’t forget, all applicants must add at the end of the video: "That's why I am the first reality hair star!" The first-of-its-kind LIVE television ad will air on May 25th on a major national network.

Essence It Girl Contest

Although I don't personally feel that there is a lack of diversity in the fashion  industry because my blog Beauty Is Diverse debunks that myth, since I take the time to find the editorials, magazine covers and models from around the globe.  Essence is holding an "It Girl" contest with Elite Model Management . 

"A nationwide search for the new African-American “It” model. The winner --to be announced in May --will be featured in the September 2010 Fall Fashion issue of ESSENCE magazine and receive a one-year contract with Elite Model Management."
