Saptosa Foster


In 2003 Saptosa Foster partnered with a colleague to form the 135th Street Agency, a strategic communications company specializing in the urban business professional and urban youth consumer. Since graduating cum laude from Spelman College in 1998, Foster worked briefly as an analyst at Accenture Consulting, but moved to New York to pursue a career as a freelance writer. She started as a fact-checker for magazines including Seventeen and Rolling Stone. In addition to several Web sites and underground publications, Saptosa has written for Honey, Vibe and other publications and has interviewed artists including Nas, Nelly, Ludacris and Jill Scott.
