Tune in to Some of Us Are Brave tomorrow (THURSDAY) at 2:00 pm Pacific Standard Time with host Jan Robinson Flint as we enter Black History Month, sharing a bit of history about our mutual aid societies ...

Erica Hunt of the 21st Century Foundation, a 30 year old foundation serving as a space where African American donor directed funds are distributed to African American organizations.

Did you know that Feb 7th is also Black AIDS Awareness Day? Cynthia Davis of Charles Drew University will join Some of Us Are Brave to share the latest statistics on how the HIV/AIDS pandemic is impacting Black women, both at home and abroad.

With the Pan African Film Festival opening, Some of Us Are Brave will have the run down on films produced and/or directed by Black women, plus films primarily about Black women, so be prepared. Get your movie schedule out as we speak with Ayuko Babu, Pan African Film Festival Founder and Director, about what wonderful films are in store this year.

That's Some of Us are Brave tomorrow, Feb 7th at 2:00PM on KPFK, 90.7 FM Los Angeles, 98.7 FM in Santa Barbara, and online at www.KPFK.org -- amplifying and promoting the voices, views, lives, opinions and perspectives of Black women."
